Yard Sale For The Cure!

Took Place - Saturday June 1st, 9am to 3pm
Lake & Carlton Plaza Parking Lot, St. Catharines
 

June 1st, 2013 marked RE/MAX Garden City Realty Inc. Brokerage's fifth Larger Than Life Yard Sale for the Cure, held in the parking lot of our Lake and Carlton St. Catharines office.   Once again, nature provided the sunshine and perfect conditions for hundreds of people to attend this fantastic event. 

The official start time of the Yard Sale was 8 a.m. but by 7 a.m. the volunteers could not hold back the anxious shoppers.  The day offered many activities including, face painting, bouncy castle, BBQ hot dogs and hamburgers,DJ and live music, and an added treat....a dunk tank, that raised almost $1000.00.  The small raffle and the large raffle out did themselves as well.

At 1:30 p.m. the winners of our large raffle prizes were announced .....4th prize, a mini IPAD....., 3rd prize,an IPAD....., 2nd Prize, $1000 in gas gift cards....and as people held onto their tickets, the 1st prize of $1000 cash winner was announced.....and it was our very own Eugene Mirka, a REALTOR® from our St. Catharines office. When we announced his name as the winner he was loading up some furniture for a happy shopper.  His look of gratitude speaks volumns.

At then end of the day, with all REALTOR® pledges included in with the daily sales, we raised just under $25,000.00.   The funds are raised each year in support of the Walker Family Cancer Centre and the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.  

RE/MAX Garden City Realty Inc,Brokerage is very proud of everyone who volunteered and donated items and services to this event.  The success of this event belongs to all of you.
